HP Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) is a comprehensive systems software and firmware update solution, which is delivered as a single ISO image. This solution uses HP Smart Update Manager (HP SUM) as the deployment tool and is tested on all HP ProLiant Gen8, G7, and earlier servers as defined in the Service Pack for ProLiant Server Support Guide found at www.hp.com/go/spp/documentation.

Important Notes:

The SPP was updated to address SSL/TLS MITM Vulnerability CVE-2014-0224 http://www.openssl.org/news/secadv_20140605.txt.

  • This is the last SPP release to support G5 generation and earlier servers.
  • This is the final SPP release that will contain support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. Future SPP releases will not contain support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

Release Summary:

 The SPP was updated to address SSL/TLS MITM Vulnerability CVE-2014-0224 http://www.openssl.org/news/secadv_20140605.txt.

This SPP is intended for use with HP OneView 1.10 and other supported Solutions from HP.
Added support for:

  • HP FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 630FLB Adapter
  • HP FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 630M Adapter

Contains:

  • HP BladeSystem c-Class Virtual Connect Firmware, Ethernet plus 4/8Gb 20-port and 8Gb 24-port FC Edition Component v4.20(b)
  • HP Smart Update Manager v6.4.1

Troubleshooting: For trouble downloading the SPP, try clearing out Temporary Internet Files/Cookies and try again.
