To help optimize complex IT environments, HP is announcing its fifth generation Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) system, the HP P6000 EVA. The HP P6000 EVA builds on a 10-year history with nearly 100,000 units deployed.

Still 30% easier to manage than alternatives, the new HP P6000 EVA scales to 480TB packing 2X capacity in the same rack space. New small form factor drives reduce energy consumption by 40%. The EVA also increases agility with 8Gb Fibre Channel host connectivity, 1Gb iSCSI, or 10Gb iSCSI/Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE).

In addition to new hardware capabilities HP is introducing thin provisioning and dynamic LUN migration software features to the EVA family.
